Unexplainable Events
Many people try to explain away the unusual. We deny the possibility of things we don’t want to acknowledge or that science is unable to provide concrete proof of. It’s a normal reaction to experiences which seem to defy possibility or justification. We’re more inclined to believe in angels due to the positive connotations than to consider the possibility of ghosts and the occult. And uncommon abilities such as telepathy and extra-sensory perception are discounted as trickery. We are skeptical of fortune tellers and those claiming to be psychic, rightly so considering the number of these people who have been proven false.
But not everything can be explained away or justified by the knowledge we’ve gained through scientific research and experimentation. And some people accurately predict future events, seeing past the superficial into deeper layers of existence not everyone can or are willing to recognize. It would be rather narrow-minded of us to assume we must be able to see, hear, smell, taste or touch something in order for it to be real. Such an assumption would also disregard the possibility of anything existing outside of our small, safe, comfortable world we know.
If we are being honest, most people will admit to having had a “gut feeling” about a future event. You’re driving down the road and suddenly have the overwhelming need to buckle your seatbelt or get off that road, then an accident happens close by. How about the mother who feels something is not right and goes to check on her child to discover he/she is in danger. Maternal instinct or something more?
For most of my life, I have kept my own experiences with the unexplainable to myself. There have been too many times where I get “the look” when talking about something strange which has happened. You know the look I mean. The one that says you’re-a-weird-psychotic-freak. This is usually followed by the question, “You’re kidding me, right?”
My grandfather knew things. He would make very matter of fact statements about things that were going to happen. When I was younger, I thought he was guessing at the future, but over time came to realize the things he said always happened. I remember coming home for Easter and my grandfather told me I’d be living back at home by Independence Day. At the time, I laughed and brushed off the comment. There was no way I was making a major move in such a short amount of time. Sure enough, circumstances changed and I moved back home on July 1st.
The house I live in is full of paranormal happenings. Not a day goes by when I don’t find metal artifacts lying around. Coins, nuts, bolts and screws will appear somewhere I dusted or cleaned only moments before. Doors will violently shake within their frame when no windows are open and no one has touched them. And things disappear. I’m not talking about items like misplaced keys. Big things just vanish, like a six foot long, four inch wide slat from the middle of the vertical blinds. Sometimes these things turn up again, but not always. Thankfully, nothing that happens is malicious.
The hospital where I work is a hotbed of the paranormal. I work overnights and have yet to work a shift where something unexplainable has not occurred. Most of the time it’s when things are quiet and I’m working on the computer or reading. Doors will suddenly slam shut. Motorized doors will go wonky, opening and shutting erratically. Cabinets will open and supplies will fall out. A chair on casters will roll across the room. I’ve even watched my laptop close without my help. The one that’s really cool is when shadows cross the monitor which provides a view into the CT Scan room, then the electronic toys we have for kids begin to make noises and flash lights.
As an author, I’ve only written two books with paranormal aspects…so far. The first, Savannah’s Vision, features a heroine who was running from her visions. The other, Mimosa Night, had a secondary story of two psi-vamps who feed off human emotions. I do have more planned for the future since I no longer worry about sharing my experiences or letting my muse delve into the paranormal.
My son seems to be following in my family’s footsteps. He often will come out with shocking statements, which we have proven to be true. When he was younger, we were sitting in the car. AJ was looking down at the puzzle book and said, “His leg used to be broken, but its better now.” He never even looked up. At first, I didn’t know what the heck he was talking about, but then a bicycle went by the side of my car. When my daughter climbed in, she pointed out the bike rider and told us it was her teacher who’d just returned after recovering from a broken leg.
Have you ever experienced something you can’t explain or justify away? The cat seems to freak out and chases something no one else sees. Electronic items go wonky and begin to function on their own, like the TV turning itself on. A sudden cold draft in a warm room with no open windows. You’ve likely encountered paranormal activity on numerous occasions. Did you acknowledge it or brush the whole thing off figuring there must be some logical explanation?
I’d love to hear your tales of the bizarre! Who knows, your story may even make it into one of my future books. I’ve often been inspired by my readers and can contribute scenes in each of my books to things they have shared. So come on, share your tale. Spark our imaginations.

Too many times to mention. There are stories about my blind, great-grandmother being a healer, that one of my ancestors was given to gypsies on their trek west because there were too many children to take care of. My dad had many experiences throughout his life. Most especially seeing and speaking to people who were already gone. Several times. The one thing that lets me know he’s in a better place after his passing away from cancer ten years ago is the fact I witnessed his “conversations” with the beyond. On many occasions. Even after he had gone, he was still there. Sitting on my bed, in my car, in his bedroom. I know he’s still here on some level. I also believe a person has to be “receptive” for lack of a better word to see or hear the things we do. My mom certainly hasn’t experienced the same things I have. Nor my brother or husband, although he just may start now that his own mom is gone.
Receptive is a great word, Annmarie. It’s amazing what you may experience if you’re open to the possibilities!
My sister and I have always said that Mom is psychic – she can always tell when we are not telling the whole truth, even on the phone. LOL
Her father (my grandfather) often told the story of a recalcitrant mule that he got rid of, only to have its spirit come back and haunt him by running around and around the house with thundering hooves, passing by his bedroom window and keeping him up at night.
Things happen to me when I’m least expecting it – I can’t consciously see ghosts, but when I’m not looking for them, there they are.
Back in the late ’90s, one of my two dachshunds died. The two dogs were litter mates, looked very much alike, and were inseparable. A few months after she died, I was walking around upstairs and passed by my office. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was my remaining dachshund curled up in her usual sun spot on the carpet. I actually turned my head and looked at her, and said “Hey, girl,” and she thumped her tail. Then walked on down the hall. There in front of me was my livng dog, coming out of my bedroom wagging her tail. I ran back to the office and looked – the dog I had seen was gone! It gave me a lot of comfort to know she was still around.
That’s so cool the dog let you see her and know she’s still around, Carolan. Too funny about your grandfather’s mule. This is why we have to be very carful of our actions. They may come back to haunt us…literally. <g>
Hey Nic! Great subject and thanks for sharing your experiences.
I really love to read about this stuff although I will be the first to admit that it does freak me out somewhat.
I believe that we have control over these things that happen… to a degree, and I believe in self-fulfilling prophecy. If you say it or hear it often enough you’ll subconsciously find a way to make it happen or believe it. People predict things all the time, and if it’s something that someone agrees with or likes they might subconsciously make the changes to show the prediction to be true.
I can tell myself over and over again that I am hearing voices in my head (I’m not, lol) and eventually I am going to start believing what I am telling myself. That is just something our brains do. We see pictures in the trash magazines and some of us think to ourselves that is just soooo out there and dumb, and yet there are some people who truly believe what they see in those pictures, because they want to believe it, they’ve trained their minds that way.
As you can probably guess I’m also a huge skeptic. There are too many quacks out there claiming to be talking to the dead and telling the future, etc. You know the ones I’m talking about…the ones on TV mostly, claiming to know all etc.
I’m not ruling out that paranormal things happen, that would be naive to think that, given our brain functions and what little bit of it each of us currently use – I mean can you imagine the potential if we used even half of our brain? I’m hard-pressed not to believe your experiences however, because I know you and I know you’re not a quack or psychotic (hmmmm… or are you? lol) and it truly makes me think about this on a whole different level.
Anyway back to my comfortable skepticism….lol There are just so many people out there who play it up so dramatically and truthfully it makes me (as I’m sure it does a lot of other people) doubt everything that person would ever say – even if they have had legitimate experiences.
It’s kind of like the TV evangelists preaching hellfire and damnation… it makes people not believe in the God that those extremists are trying to scare them into believing. On a side note… I do believe in God… just not the way those evangelists extremists want me to believe. lol
It’s a shame that people have to throw that doubt out there because of their dishonesty. There is so much potential IMO in the paranormal. And if people could just open up to it (myself included) the possibilities are endless really.
I can’t wait to read what everyone else posts!
Christine
Great post! My mom is definitely psychic. Too many things to name, but the night before Jerry Garcia died (trust me, she had no idea who he was) she told me she just dreamt that there were all these hippie looking kids in her backyard searching for a place to hang out since their hero was gone. When I was in a car accident and nearly died (my boyfriend did), I walked into the house and the phone was ringing (there was no way she knew anything had happened), frantic, asking me “what happened???!!!” She woke in the middle of the night to announce our next door neighbor (a man who hadn’t been ill) had just died. He did.
I had a few odd things, too long to explain in detail, but I’d call them past life blips or some such. It’s fascinating stuff, and I love writing about it too.
I tend to be a skeptic on most things too, Christine. If I hadn’t experienced these things myself, I likely wouldn’t believe it happened.
The first time the bedroom door shook violently within the frame, I was sleeping in the room after working an overnight shift. The noise woke me up and I got mad, jumped out of bed, and tore the door open. My mother and daughter were standing across the hallway looking scared to death. I yelled at them then went back to bed, only finding out later that neither of them had touched the door.
Must have been difficult to pull anything over on your mom, Ciar.
OOOhhh! Now here’s a daring post. I’ve always had an interest in the occult and paranormal. My grandmother was a very, very, very powerful psychic and medium, many times, the center of conversation at family gatherings. We all heard one or two stories about her powers and it was always amazing to share.
One of my cousins actually authored a book with a prologue dedicated to my grandmother. It is a paranormal/time-travel romance, “Desde La Otra Vida” which translates, “From Another Lifetime”. My grandmother strongly believed in reincarnation.
Well…I could go on and on about the many stories concerning my grandmother’s ability for divination. She was amazing. She could see and converse with spirits as if they were as real as any living person. She told us she had twelve guardian spirits and knew their histories and how each of them “passed on”. She said they always referred to death as “passing”. Her primary guardian spirit came to her when she was twelve years old, an African “Madama”. She told my grandmother that she would be orphaned quite young, which came to pass.
My grandmother told me I had four guardians, two women who appeared to be sisters, a little girl with long dark hair (she keeps me young) and a Spanish nun (who tries to keep me on track, lol).
I wanted to test my grandmother’s information concerning my own guardian spirits. I was in my twenties, young and curious. I visited a psychic and showed her pictures of my grandmother. She said she was very powerful and that it was a gift all my family possessed. I asked (the psychic) if she could see my guardian spirits and she said “I see a little girl and a nun”. Boy! When I heard that, my hairs stood on end!
I know we all have the ability to sense what we can’t see. Some of us are just more tuned in than others and some of us, like my grandmother, have an extraordinary gift.
What an interesting subject, Nic. Thanks so much for sharing your stories. My father used to read tea leaves and he lived in a haunted house when he was just a kid. Everyone knew it was haunted when even the visiting minister saw the ghost of the former owner of the house.
I’ve had my own experiences…some fun…some terrifying. I believe that the things I’ve experienced are real because I’m not the type to get worked up over creaks and groans and things that go bump in the night. At one point in my life I lived in a caretaker’s house IN the cemetery, and I had no problems there at all. LOL
Whether folks believe in the paranormal or not, it always makes for a fascinating discussion.
Two weird things that I can think of: when my husband and I moved into our new home last year, I would wake up in the middle of the night (normal) to find lights turned on in other rooms (not normal). My massage therapist (who’s also somewhat psychic) told me spirits like switches. Okay, fine. The light incidents continued for about a month, but then one morning we woke up to a freezing house and no hot water…because the boiler emergency shut-off switch had been turned off. I was so mad I said out loud “It’s time for you to get out of here” and since then, not one incident.
The other is weirder, and I hope someone else has had a similar experience, because I’ve never heard anyone mention it as a typical paranormal occurence. In the house where I grew up, my sister’s room was across the hall from mine. On 2 separate occasions, when we were probably 8 and 11 and then 11 and 14, things in her room were duplicated. Meaning she woke up one morning and instead of a pair of her favorite earrings, she had 3 of them. One week later, there were 4. Same thing happened with a Christmas ornament she had hanging in her room. She woke up one day and saw another hanging beside it. Next week, a third. Creepy, right? Oh, and my parents are definitely not the practical joke type. No way they would have gone out and bought an extra pair of earrings or more ornaments just to mess with her head.
What an entertaining topic Nic. I love all the great and interesting responses you have been getting. I distinctly remember three incidents in my live where something out of the ordinary happened.
The first time was when I was going through my divorce. I was were depressed and praying to God for strength when all of the sudden I could feel this warm energy pour through me. It started at my feet all the way up to the top of my head. At first, I was shocked but afterwards I knew I had the ability and strength to go continue enduring what I had to deal with.
The second time was also during my divorce. I was still living in the house we bought, it was early morning when I woke up to hear someone opening the kitchen cabinet and rummaging through them. My kids and I were asleep in my bed so I knew it wasn’t them, I called out my soon to be ex-husband’s name thinking maybe he had come into the house but no one answered. I got a little scared but I knew I had to investigate the situation. I went out to the kitchen and no one was there…….Thank the Lord. I probably would have peed my pants if some had been. (LOL) I can still distinctly remember that incident and I will swear that I definitely heard someone in my kitchen.
The third time something out of the ordinary happened was when my son was seven. He loved to climb this tree out in front of my parents’ house. He would use a rope that he tied to one of the limbs and use it to help him climb. One day he was out there playing and I was in my bedroom when all of a sudden I had an overwhelming feeling that my son was in danger. I run out front and saw him choking to death; he was climbing and somehow slipped, which caused the rope to wrap around his neck like a noose. I held him up while my father cut the rope. If I hadn’t had that feeling of danger about Michael, he would have strangled to death.
So those are a few of the strange incidents that have happened to me.
Hi Nic,
Dont know what i can add to this subject but wanted you to know i read it and was very interesting to read. Great comments everyone.
How cool that the person you went to see confirmed your guardian spirits, Glo. That’s awesome. I was a little worried about mentioning my own experiences, but now I’m glad I did.
Thanks for sharing NJ! I think your experiences will make a great story.
I have something similar to dupliation, Allie. When I was little and a treasured toy would break, we’d throw it out and a day or two later it would be back and working. My parents swear to me they were not replacing the toys.
I’ve heard lots of stories about mother’s intuition saving kids, Candy. That’s so incredible you sense your son’s danger and were able to save his life!
Thanks for stopping by, Jodi and everyone else! I appreciate your interest.
Fascinating subject, Nic. I don’t know if I can say anything like that has happened to me … stoic Polish/German Catholic girl that I am. Family is very grounded, so to speak.
I do believe whole-heartedly in paranormal happenings. I just don’t have personal experience with them except on two occasions, shortly after my cat passed, I’d be laying in bed and I’d feel the bed move, like a cat had jumped up. Having another cat (Jezebel), I thought it was her, so I’d looked and found nothing there. I figured it was Maggie coming to visit.
Liz, it likely was Maggie coming to visit. It’s so cool to hear about those who passed, including pets, coming to visit and give some comfort.
We truly are twins… lol I hid much of myself when I was growing up because my family was so strange. My aunt could literally turn off lights with her mind/energy field. She could sit in her chair, and never moving from it, turn out the light across the room. To me, what is called the unexplainable was always normal—that is until I got old enough to realize most people didn’t think it was normal. We’ve always had resident spirits in the house. The only houses I haven’t had them in are the ones were I did not feel at home in. Great article, sis. Stop hiding and be proud of the things that make you—you!
Thanks, sis! I have a thing with lights that I didn’t even mention. I’ve been told its excess kinetic energy, but when I get within a certain distance of street lights if I’m lost in thought, they’ll go out then come back on when I move away. I think its really cool, but I’m still careful of who I tell about my paranormal happenings. There are a lot of people who don’t get it.
Cool post, Nic. Stuff is definitely out there. I can’t say I know what causes it, because people’s experiences (from duplicating earrings to ghost dachshunds to malfunctioning machinery) don’t seem to have enough in common to have been created from a single cause.
I’ve often suspected, though, that people, not places, are the ones haunted. Hospitals, with all the pain and healing passion contained within their walls, would seem to bear this out. Never met a medical professional yet who didn’t have some story to tell—and no two are exactly alike.
Thanks, Jean Marie! Lots of crazy stuff sure goes on in hospitals. One set of elevators seemed to be posessed at a facility where I worked. Management contantly had maintenance people checking them. They never found anything wrong, but the darn things had a mind of their own. Eventually, you’d get to the floor you wanted, but it could take a while. LOL!
How about right now? LOL!
My family is moving out of the house we’ve lived in for ten years. Since it went on the market over two months ago, strange things have been going on. We’ve had to replace at least 12 light bulbs. Shelves that have been bolted into the walls have suddenly come out. A kitchen cabinet broke off the hinges. New dishwasher started leaking. I slipped and fell half way down my stairs.
Other than lightbulbs going out every now and then, none of the other things have EVER happened in the ten years we’ve lived here. Why now? I think it’s because the spirit of the house is upset with us for leaving. The kids and I have been speaking to it quietly <g> and telling it how much we’ve loved living here but it’s time for a new family.
So I do believe in bizarre things we can’t see or understand! LOL!
Wow, that’s a trip Jordanna. Sure sounds like they are upset about you moving. I’ve heard sometimes spirits will follow you to your new location, so who knows, maybe they’ll go with you.
Here’s a wierd ghost sighting I experienced and will never forget. When my chidren were younger, I would routinely wake up at some to point to check on them during the middle of the night. One night, I checked on them, as usual and then returned to bed. As I did so I noticed a boy, with very bright blond hair and a white shirt next to me. It didn’t freak me out at that moment because my middle boy has blond hair. I just thought he had followed me. I turned to him and said, “Sweetie, what are you doing up?” I actually spoke to the “boy”. All of sudden, the “boy” leaned over, smiled and was gone! He was GONE! I laughed it off but it was wierd.
When I was a child, I had all sorts of paranormal things happen to me. None of them really “good”. I was always scared when they happened.
I used to hear voices. Some of them whispering in a corner, others just “in” my head. I remember I couldn’t understand the language they were speaking, but I could understand what they said. I know that doesn’t make any sense… It’s kind of like I knew they weren’t speaking english, but I could still understand them.
The voices were in a “sing-song” kind of voice and would be….really….sssllllooowww and deep and then all of a sudden bereallyfastandhighpitched and then again back to the sslllooooww… It was never good things. I don’t remember anything they said exactly, but it was to the effect of “you’re no good, we don’t like you, we hate you” etc.
There was one time I was doing my homework at the table, and I realized that I’d been listening to these voices in my head for like the past 30 minutes and it didn’t even register. To this day, whenever I see a commercial or a TV show that plays something in slow motion with the really ssllloooowww, deep audio track, I get freaked out.
And one night, while I was in bed laying on my belly, I heard someone walk over to my bed and “felt” someone dig into one of my shoulderblades with a “finger” and say “Right here.” It was in a normal voice. Scared the bejesus out of me, because I knew I was alone in the house. I didn’t move for a few moments because I was too scared to, and I felt the pressure of the “finger” until I moved.
There are other things as well, as I truly believe my childhood house was haunted, my room especially. I saw a ghost when I was 12, but only one time. I never experienced poltergiest activity of things moving, but I do remember hearing “people” walking down the hallway (because our hallway floor creaked) and remember seeing things out of the corner of my eyes that were never there when I looked up.
Oh, one time, my dad and I were watching TV and there were three hard, long knocks at our front door, that just came out of nowhere, and scared our dogs half to death. They were slow and hard, like KNOCK (pause) KNOCK (pause) KNOCK (pause). My dad got up to go look after the second knock and was halfway to the door by the third, but there was no one at the door. And we could see all up and down our street, and there were no doorbell ditchers, or at least any nearby hiding spots for them to run to. Really creepy stuff.
However, I noticed that once I became a Christian in my teen years, even when we still lived at that house, the paranormal activity stopped. Perhaps the ghosties didn’t like all the praying and praise music and Jesus pictures. LOL
~~Becka
Wow, you’ve had some interesting experiences Becka. I’m thankfull that none of my encounters have been malicious but more playful. I would totally freak out if something spoke to me and touched me. Especially when home alone. Ack!
Nic, we have a long-standing tradition of gifted people in my family. Most recently, my grandmother, grandfather, my mother, and myself. My oldest dd also shows definite signs of being spiritually gifted—she has since she was a small child.
It’s not an easy thing to live with, honestly. Hollywood and television like to make everything more frightening and dramatic than it is—not to mention ‘the look’ you get from most people if you should happen to mention an incident.
Let’s just say I am a firm believer in spiritual gifts and in life after death. I’ve seen and felt proof of it too many times to deny it. I just feel sorry for my dh, though. He doesn’t often know what to do with our ‘flights of fancy’. ;)
Did you see Black Dahlia?
My day job involved me spending a lot of time at the hotel which is famously haunted by the Black Dahlia chick (she was last seen alive in the bar there) and a bunch of other people.
It was about 12:30pm and everyone was at lunch, I’d had about 3 hours of sleep and been up since 5 am and was running around like crazy. I walked into a conference room with a flash drive containing something I needed to upload to the laptop for a presentation after lunch. As I walk into the room I see the AV guy walk between two pillars at the front of the room. I’m trotting up the aisle talking to him, explaining what I need. I get to the front, jump up on the stage and sit down at the laptop. The AV guy hasn’t answered me so I look up, pissed, and don’t see him. I walk all over the room looking for him. As I do I start critically examining the memory. of what I saw In my minds eye what I see is a dark silhouette, like someone who’s back lit, moving behind a post.
I went over the whole room twice, the AV guy was not there. He was in fact eating lunch in the kitchen with the rest of the AV staff, as I learned later.
I told the hotel staff and they just nodded. One guy finally told me that I must have been really stressed out and upset (I was) because one of the stories is that a man would hang out at the bar, pick up women who were distraught or in some other way emotionally wounded, take them back to his room and poison them. Apparently many a stressed-out female guest had seen a dark shape. Lovely.
Jordanna,
The same thing happened when we had our house on the market! It seemed like I was forever changing light bulbs, and the upstairs toilet suddenly started leaking.
We built that house so I can’t imagine that there were any residual spirits in it, except for my two dogs who had passed while we lived there. Maybe it was my dogs, upset about us moving away.
Now that I think about it, about a month before finally sold the house, I had a “talk” with Duchess and Lieben, telling them that I wanted them to come with me when we moved. I assured them that the last thing I would do before I left the house would be to hold open the front door and “call” them to come get in the car. (When they were alive, if they saw us packing bags, they’d slip out the door and get in the car to make sure they wouldnt be left behind!) After that, the lightbulb-blowing seemed to slow down quite a bit. LOL
My mother and I possess some kind of psychic connection. I don’t know which of us really has the power. One of us is a powerful sender. I was driving my mother somewhere and was thinking about having a garage sale and selling a particular rug, when my mother a second later, says, “You ought to have a garage sale and sell that rug you bought from Harriett.” So who had the idea first?
Another eerie experience I had happened years ago. I was late for work and parked in a garage a block from the hospital. I’d parked there dozens of times. The building over the garage was empty at the time. This particular morning, when I got out of the car, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of being watched. I slammed the door and ran from the garage and all the way to the hospital. After I clocked in, I found out that a nurse had been raped after coming to work that morning in the office directly across the street from the parking garage. I don’t know if he was still there (doubtful), or if I was picking up on the vibes of the incident. Maybe he waited in the garage before she unlocked her doctor’s office. Anyway it wasn’t a good feeling. Scary, but I’m glad I didn’t ignore it and boogied out of there.
I’m with you, Meg. I look at it as a gift!
Wow, cool experience, Lila. I think strong emotions really do affect paranormal activity.
I never ignore feelings like that, Marie-Nicole. If you feel something that strongly, there has to be a reason behind it!
I’ve always considered myself psychically inclined. So was my mother and her mother and so on. I’ve always had a strong belief in paranormal things so it’s no wonder and no surprise that I love to write about those things.
I could talk forever about the ghosts I’ve encountered, or the other strange things I’ve seen over the course of my life—but I’ll be brief here.
I encountered my first ghost at age five. I saw the image of him in the mirror as I passed by. It didn’t scare me, but it did surprise me.
When I was 12, I lived in a haunted house where the ghost played with my porcelain doll collection.
When I was 14, I heard strange voices in our house and something called me “Mom”.
When I was 18, I began to learn more about my psychic abilities and learned to communicate with these ghosts. I made contact a few times.
Just before my mother’s death when I was 20, I dreamt of the hospital room where she died and her body on the bed, surrounded by my dad and my brothers. The day she died, I saw the same thing when I walked in to see her one last time…
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Today I was bored so I went on the computer and just started to look things up and I found this website. After reading the comments I found myself relating to most of them.
I seem to know things before they happen which kinda scares me because I’m only 14. I will think of someone and then all of a sudden they will call my house or show up at my doorstep. When I with my mom I always know what she is going to say next which freaks her out too. When I was 8 years old My mom called me into her room and told me she and my dad were getting a divorce. Only hours before I had said to my brother “I think something is wrong with mom and dad.” I knew when my great grandmother had died before the Nursing Home had even called my family. When my Aunt Amy had gotten pregnate I knew the baby’s name would be Karson Before she even picked it out.
When my dad moved out of the house during the divorce he moved into his parents house which is 175 years old and used to be a Funeral Home. We lived upstairs and I was certain it was haunted. I hated being alone because that’s when I heard the noises. I would hear footsteps and pounding on the walls. My dad doesn’t really believe in the paranormal so he didn’t have much simpathy when i would start crying because I didn’t want to go sleep in my room alone. The Television would turn on and off without anybody touching it. The doors would swing open and close. I was so glad when i found out that we were moving but now in the newer house my cat is running after things or playing with things that aren’t there. I know I have nothing to be worried about because these things or Spirits have not been mean or tried to hurt me but I’m still scared of what I can’t see.
Last year I went to see a psychic and he asked me if I had any dreams or any thing wierd happen to me. I said no because my dad had insisted to come in and he was sitting right behind me. I was to scared to say anything because I thought that he would think I was wierd.
I was just writing to see what you had to say about my life. If you have any opinions on the matter please write me back. Thank you Kate
How cool that you’ve made contact, Rose Marie. I tried once and ended up scaring myself so didn’t try again.
Hi, Katie! Your experiences sound similar to some of mine. And it sure sounds like you live in an interesting house. Wow! I’m going to email you on the subject.
