The Boots That Changed My Life

I saw them when I was out shopping for something else. They weren’t on my list. It was pure impulse made me take a closer look at the boots on display.
Love how the boots were a changing point in your life. So, the answer is yes, shoes can make you happy :)
I had something similar happen to me – I saw a bumper sticker that changed my life and set me on the path to publication. It’s a joke between my hubby and me, and to this day I’ve never told anyone but him what the bumper sticker said, although I’ve had lots of people ask.

Oh, Lorelei, now you KNOW I have to ask what the bumper sticker said! Funny how little things can be the catalyst for change.
And yes, shoes can make you happy!

Sometimes impulse and happenstance is the way the Universe speaks to us. :)
For you it was a pair of hiking boots. For Lorelei it was a bumper sticker. For me it was a tree in the front yard, struck in perfect fall colors, that had never been as beautiful and would never be as beautiful as it was in that moment I impulsively left my sickbed and went outside just to take in the late afternoon.
I watched it move and sway in the autumn winds for hours until it was too dark to see it anymore. From that day forward I walked in the truth of my spiritual path without regard for anyone else’s opinions on it.
Ten years, to the month, later, I got another “tree moment” and embarked on the path that led me here and to the first steps of building my writing career.
It’s always amazing what speaks to us and how far it can lead us toward or better selves when we are open to it.
It was great to read about your “tree moment” in boot form. Or was my experience a pair of boots in tree form? LOL
