Chocolate Lovers Take Note!

The Valentine Effect, a Strangers in the Night story, is available now. To celebrate its release, I’m giving away a heart-shaped box of chocolates from the South Bend Chocolate Company (regular or sugar-free, your choice) to the winner of a drawing.

A man whose passionate heart has been torn apart. A woman who’s never risked hers. Can love bring them a new beginning?
Carrie Morrison is resigned to spending another Valentine’s Day alone, but Cupid brings her a surprise—packaged in the hot body of the father of one of her third grade students. When Enrique Torres stops by her classroom to discuss his son, sizzling chemistry erupts between them.

Ric is a widower, father, garage mechanic, and the hottest Latin lover a woman could wish for to fulfill her Valentine fantasies. One hot night with Carrie in his bed leaves him wanting more, but she’s not sure if she’s brave enough for a relationship beyond a one night stand.

But Ric isn’t about to let Carrie go that easily. She has healed his broken heart, and he’s ready for forever.

The contest question is “What was the name of Rick’s deceased wife?” The answer can only be found within the book, so to play you’ll need to pick up a copy, but trust me, you’ll really enjoy this Valentine confection of a story. It’s a rich chocolate romance with a little nip of cayenne.

Email me your answers at bondav40@yahoo.com. Please put the word Contest in the subject line so if your email accidentally gets sent to my spam box, I can still locate it. I check my spam regularly because we all know how yahoo often sends things astray! The deadline for the contest will be February 1.

  1. Holy Joe in a rowboat, did I have trouble setting up this blog post. I’ve also forgotten how to add a simple hyperlink. I wanted to link to the South Bend Chocolate Company here: http://www.sbchocolate.com/1020.html

I’ll use the excuse of a terrible cold and muzzy head. I can barely think straight, let alone deal with the intricacies of the internet. I hope you all rush right over and choose some of the great books available today, all to some degree, Valentine-themed.
