Favorite Books?
If you had to pick your all-time, number one favorite book, what would it be? In a recent Harris Poll of over 2500 adults, that was the question. Not surprisingly, the Bible was number one. But what about the books that came in as readers’ seconds? It seems, according to the article below, that the results vary largely by demographics.

Mine, I’d have to say, would be Wuthering Heights, by Emily Brontë. It was the first gothic romance book I ever read, and it set the stage for my later works. Dark, romantic, the story of star-crossed lovers and a tortured soul. What’s not to like?
So what’s your favorite? If you could choose only one book, what would it be?

Kushiel’s Legacy by Jacqueline Carey would have to be my favorite book, hands-down.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about those books. I’m gonna have to break down and read them at some point.
Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott. It was the first book my mother ever gave me, and it’s become something of a comfort-read now that I’m an adult. In fact, I still have that copy, even though the spine is broken.
Of course, I don’t think she realized that she’d just handed me my very first romance novel at the ripe old age of seven. =)
Oh, man. I haven’t read that in ages. LOL
I have to agree with Wuthering Heights. It certainly set the stage for all of my later reading.
