Back To It

School…Work…Long pants…whatever you ignored for the summer, it’s time to pick it back up where you left off.

I barely wrote a word all summer, instead I drowned myself in my boys and the new baby girl. But now I have to get my head above water and try balancing things again.

How do you write with a new baby? I write when she sleeps, but isn’t conventional wisdom to sleep when the baby sleeps? At least at night? Maybe that’s why I’m so tired…

Mom’s aren’t the only one’s feeling the world lurch like a car with a bad clutch. With so many people making the back-to-school transition most places feel the bump. It will either jostle you into working harder or knock a few more things onto your personal pile of excuses.

What can we do about it? Personally I try to keep trudging through until it starts to feel like routine again and the world seems to sort itself out accordingly. Not very scientific, so I’m open to suggestions…WHAT DO YOU DO TO GET BACK ON TRACK?

  1. I actually have been on track for awhile now. I’m now being forced to slow down thanks to the fact that I have gotten sick. It sucks because I have ideas floating in my head that are demanding they be heard, I’m just too tired and achy to do anything about it.

  2. Doing much of anything while you feel under it is just…frustrating. Feel better and get some rest!
