Sufficiently Excited and Terrified

Posted by Beth Williamson, 07/24/09 06:00 AM

I have to admit I’m sufficiently excited and terrified as my older son heads toward his senior year in high school. A senior! He’s already done his senior portraits (OMG, that was a small fortune). And we’re visiting colleges too. How the heck did that happen?

Us Not-so-Perfect Dames Can Be Hot & Sexy Too

Posted by Beth Williamson, 05/03/09 03:00 PM

You know, I’m a huge fan of movies, music and books. I love all different genres and am usually open for just about anything. One thing that kind of nags at me is most of the women in these movies, music and books are young, single and beautiful. Did you hear me snort?

Riding Hell for Leather

Posted by Beth Williamson, 04/19/09 09:00 AM

April 28th is a very special day for me. Not only is it my 19th wedding anniversary (yay!), it’s the print release date for my book, Hell for Leather. A doubly wonderful gift for me. Would you like to meet my gunslinger?

Judging a Star by the Size of Her Waist

Posted by Beth Williamson, 02/20/09 10:00 AM

So lately the “big” news (no pun intended there) is Jessica Simpson’s weight. She was on every dang magazine cover at the Target check-out lines. There must have been two dozen articles too. And what do they talk about? Her weight and her butt.

There's Nothing Wrong with Being Number 2

Tuesday January 27th marks the release date for the second Devils on Horseback book, Jake. There is nothing wrong with being number 2. :)

Dedications

Posted by Beth Williamson, 12/03/08 10:00 AM

With the recent e-book release of Devils on Horseback: Zeke, I have to admit, I was again a bit challenged to write a dedication in the book. You see, there are a finite number of people to thank as a writer before you run out, such as friends, families, other writers, readers and so on. So recently I decided to try something different.

Devils on Horseback Rides in Again!

Who’s ready for another spoonful of cowboy? Or perhaps it’s a handful? ;)

How about some Leather & Lace?

Posted by Beth Williamson, 09/21/08 10:00 AM

Yeehaw!!! Leather & Lace is coming in print September 30!

This is the ever-so-fun western anthology with my friends Melissa Schroeder and Rebecca Goings. My story, Branded, won the 2007 CAPA for Best Erotic Historical. I’m thrilled to pieces to see it in print with my pals’ stories.

The Fine Art of Juggling

Posted by Beth Williamson, 09/20/08 04:00 PM

I am a master juggler, in case you didn’t know. And, unfortunately, I’m not talking about juggling for fun (we won’t go down that road). I’m referring to the balls in life.

Confessions of a Crier

Posted by Beth Williamson, 07/04/08 03:38 PM

I admit it, I am a crier. I can cry at the drop of hat at anything and anybody. This holds true for books and movies too. I always have tissues in m purse at the ready. Let me tell you some of the things I let loose the tears on…

Favorite movie to cry to is Steel Magnolias. I think I’ve seen the movie at least a dozen times and yet I still cry. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about the friendship between these southern women and Julia Roberts plays Sally Field’s daughter. I won’t give away the plot, but suffice it to say there’s one scene where Sally Field makes me cry buckets of tears.

Makes me want to pop it in the DVD now. LOL.

Okay, next, I cry when I read a really good romance. One that makes your heart twist in pain right along with the characters. I’ve had to wipe away tears and sob as the emotion leaps off the page into me.

I get very emotional when it comes to kids, too. The strangest things make me cry. One time a few years ago a high school marching band came in to do a pep rally for my company. They looked so amazing, when they marched out, I was completely overwhelmed with emotions and I burst into tears.

Boy did I feel like a dork.

Whenever I hear beautiful music or see one of my son’s concerts, my throat closes up and my eyes prick with tears.

I even get choked up watching made for tv movies.

Gah!

Anyhoo, I’m considering buying stock in Kleenex because believe you me, I am one of their best customers. ;)
