I’m so thrilled to announce that my first Samhain book, Snowbound, is now available!
The idea for various elements of the story came from a lot of places – the hero is named after my nephew, an Army Ranger who died way too young. The hero’s internal conflict is very similar to what my husband went through. I gave the heroine a job in radio because I spent years around radio station operations thanks to a DJ fiance of mine.
But the initial spark, the thing that started it all, was a Christmas ski trip over ten years ago.
My husband, my parents, and I had gone to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon to spend Christmas. I was six months pregnant so I couldn’t ski, but my time wasn’t wasted. I sat in the atmospheric bars and looked out at the incredible scenery…which included extremely hot ski patrol guys.
I knew then that I just HAD to write a story about ski patrollers. Lucky me, my stepdad, a former ski instructor, was a huge help, and Snowbound was born.
I can’t be happier that Snowbound found a home with Samhain, a publisher I respect and have found to be amazingly supportive. (And they have KILLER covers! :) )
Snowbound is a very special story to me, and I hope you enjoy it!
Happy Reading!
