I cringe in the face of technology
Seriously, technology freaks me out! Okay, with some things. Microsoft Vista? Just saying those two words make me tremble and not in a good way. I’m not EVEN going there until I have to!
Might I tempt you with Tempting Adam? Shelli's new book!
‘m thrilled to shout out that (yes, I’m shouting, can’t you hear me?) book two in the Seattle Steam series has arrived! Each book in the series is stand alone, so you don’t have to have read one to understand the other.
The man she wants is the one she must deceive.
Seattle Steam Book 2
Christy Wallace may be a respectable Seattle Spanish teacher, but she’s got a sultry side. She lets it come out to play during the summer, when she moonlights as a Salsa dancing instructor.
Sexy, cowboy Adam wants more time with her than just a fleeting cup of coffee, but she makes it clear that if he wants her, he’ll have to sign up for dance class. Amazingly enough, he does. And Christy finds herself falling for a charming country hick with hands as fast as his feet.
Adam’s no hick, though. He’s the owner of Adam’s Apples, the fastest-growing cider business in eastern Washington. To his own surprise, one night with her has him thinking in terms of forever. That is, until he walks into a restaurant for a family lunch—and finds Christy on the arm of his brother.
Is there a logical explanation? Or is something rotten in Seattle?
Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, dirty mechanical bull riding, and the violation of blueberries.
Shelli's letter to Cupid
Dear Cupid,
Forgive my unsolicited letter, but I think there’s been some kind of misunderstanding. Though your existence has been compared to the likes of the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, I have little reason to doubt you do indeed exist. But in my life? You appear to be… MIA. I’m sure it’s just a silly mistake.
I mean, you’ve had almost thirty-one years to hit me with one of your love dipped arrows (You do change those out, right? With a fresh and sterile arrow? No arrow sharing?) And yet you have yet to shoot one my way. So I’m writing today to figure out…what’s the problem? I mean, it’s not like I’m a hard target. I know I’m at the gym more often than I used to be, but my backside is still kind of hard to miss.
What’s the deal? Has my file been misplaced? Did you just give up on me? Sure, sometimes I run if I see you taking aim my way, but really, you didn’t strike me as a quitter.
I guess I’m finally tired of the characters in my book getting more action than I do. With one week until Valentine’s day, I’m just hoping you might bump me to the top of your list. I want a romance novel…starring me.
Much love (or maybe not, hence the reason I’m writing),
Shelli :)

Dangerous Grounds
Happy New Year all! I’m so excited for Dangerous Grounds, the first release in the Seattle Steam series.
Sugar High
So we’re a few days past Halloween and I can already see it kicking in. Candy wrappers litter the floor, the sickly sweet smell of too much chocolate, and the glazed look of a sugar high in my kid’s eyes.
That’s right, The Halloween Hangover is in full swing. And it doesn’t just affect the kids. Adults mindlessly grab another candy bar left over from trick or treat candy. The word diet gets stored in the back of our head under lock and key, while we promise ourselves just one—or ten—little candy bars won’t hurt. (Whistling innocently).
Do you Trust and Dare?
I’m so excited! My first book at Samhain Publishing has been released today. I had too much fun writing this story! Here’s a little more about it.

Angry that yet another military man has done her family wrong, Abby Cook plots sweet revenge. But when her plan goes awry, she discovers that she’s targeted the wrong military man.
Mason Tyler is not used to being disobeyed. Yet the curvy blonde has rejected his advances at every turn. When he catches her in the middle of a very destructive—not to mention illegal—prank, he offers her a deal. A deal that will keep her out of jail. And let him exact a little revenge of his own.
One weekend in his bed…no inhibitions, no refusals. But when the weekend is up, will Mason be ready to let Abby go?

Tell me about your first time
So in the past couple weeks there’s been an ongoing discussion about why the romance genre seems to be so popular. I’m not really here to talk about that, I just want to know all about your first. The first time you ever picked up your first romance novel that is.
