A Ghost of a Chance now in print!
Following is the blurb and an excerpt from A Ghost of a Chance which releases in print this month. Enjoy!
Blurb:
One life hangs on the thread of her imagination…
Legends, Book 2: Sequel to the award-winning Beaudry’s Ghost.
Troy Brannon is a ghost with no time for heaven. Thanks to his well-intentioned meddling, he’s got a missing soul on his hands. Fortunately he’s learned a skill no well-behaved spirit should have—the ability to zip through time and space.
A side trip to revive a drowning woman should’ve been simple. But the moment he locks lips with Carey Magennis, she generates an inner fire he’s never felt before, alive or dead—and his ability to time travel disappears.
When the rising tide closes over Carey’s head, it’s the end—but only of life as she knows it. She wakes up haunted by the idea she no longer fits in, and by the sexy, lion-hearted ghost of the man who saved her. No one wants to hear about the strange things that have been happening to her since her near-death experience, least of all her image-conscious fiancé.
Troy realizes Carey accidentally stole his gift—and she has no idea the danger she’s in. Wherever her imagination takes her, she goes with it. Literally. Plus, that fiancé of hers has an agenda that doesn’t include her survival.
Saving her will be as dangerous to his mission as she is to his heart.
Warning: This title contains some gratuitous bad language; the sex of your dreams with a professional bad-ass hero; bloody Civil War battles; astral joy rides; and a heroine who “gets it” in more ways than one!

Learning Curves
OMG! Pinch me! The first release of my novel KNIGHT DREAMS is today!
When I sold my first book to Samhain Publishing, I didn’t know it at the time, but a different journey into the writing world had begun. Heck, I’m a writer. This was my third completed novel. Surely, it was an easy ride from here. Right? Hah!
Bound by Design by Natasha Moore released today!
Did you ever do something when you were young and foolish, and afterward said, “Never again!”? Well, in my new novella, Bound by Design, part of the Binding Ties anthology, my heroine, Jenn, has vowed just that. She played around with a Master/slave relationship in college and while parts of it were amazing, she gradually lost herself to the boy who called himself her Master. After she was rescued, she vowed, “Never again.”
But then she meets a man whose quiet strength and obvious dominance rocks her down to her toes. There’s something about Scott that draws her to him, that frightens and excites her at the same time. That tempts her to try a taste of that old lifestyle.
Bound by Design got a 5 cherries review from Whipped Cream Reviews! It said in part…“Natasha Moore builds a beautiful world that draws you in. This is a great flowing story with lots of wonderful characters full of love and trust this book is not to be missed. If you enjoy a story full of excitement and trust this is the book for you. I will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author. “ You can read the whole review here:

To celebrate the release of the Binding Ties anthology, Jenna Ives, Skylar Kade and I are holding a month-long contest. In honor of the bondage theme of the anthology, we are giving away a beginner’s Bondage Kit, complete with blindfold and wrist and ankle cuffs! Wouldn’t that add a little excitement to your evening? All you have to do to enter is send an e-mail to bindingties-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Have you ever said, “Never again?” and then done it anyway?? Was it a mistake? Or are you glad you gave it another try????

'The Catcher and the Lie' - Print Release
Often times you hear authors talk about writing “the book of their heart”. What happens if the story kicking around in your chest contains a sports theme that sometimes sends editors running in the opposite direction? Well, in my case you write it anyway. Carefully.
In doing so the ‘book of my heart’ became the ‘book of my voice’. I wanted everyone, even those who might shy away from a baseball backdrop, to find a reason to curl up with this book. Ultimately, The Catcher and the Lie isn’t about baseball. It’s about falling in love when you least expect it and when you’re least prepared for it.
This debut release, a story I wasn’t sure I could sell, went on to claim third place in the New England Chapter of RWA Bean Pot contest for published authors. Here’s a teaser:
Abby McCabe loves the game of baseball but not the egos and antics of the men who try to score off the field. When one player works extra innings to change her mind, she’s forced to break her own rules about love.
After a year of personal and professional upheaval, Nick Valente is in the market for redemption not temptation. Getting involved with any woman, especially smart mouthed Abby McCabe, is simply not in this player’s game plan.
Experience, mostly bad, has convinced Abby McCabe that she has a special gift for finding men who can’t help falling out of love with her. Getting close to a man, especially one who plays the field professionally is sure to add another loss on her score sheet.
When things start to heat up between the two, fear of getting burned has each of them holding back. Fate and an unexpected surprise put two strikes in their relationship. With Nick on the bench, it’s up to Abby to turn the game around. Can she trust this man to deliver her a happily-ever-after? Will risking her heart prove to be the smartest move she’s ever made?

Gone with the Monster
Gone with the Monster is now available!
Kidnapping and bondage are no way to win a girl. Well, actually…
Runako has good reason to distrust humans. His sister’s murder taught him it’s safer to keep his Monster form under wraps. Now comes word that a woman is making a movie that will supposedly “help” his people. He’s not sure about that, but one thing is sure…Margo is too beautiful to be ignored.
By The Book by N.J. Walters--Now in PRINT!
I’m pleased to announce that By The Book, book 6 of the Jamesville series, is now available in print!
BLURB:
Amanda Barrington hopes Jamesville is the right place for her rare-book business—and her new life. The moving truck barely pulls away before both are off to a rousing start. It’s not her new customer that’s caught her attention, though. It’s the customer’s brother, Jonah Sutter.
From the moment cynical, ex-military Jonah sets eyes on Amanda, he wants her like a house afire—which is what she’s going to have if she doesn’t get house’s electrical system overhauled. He knows he’s not a forever kind of guy, but he’s more than willing to be her fix-it man. In more ways than one.
The sparks that fly between them have nothing to do with faulty wiring. And when unexpected danger threatens, Jonah finds himself dealing with more than just the desire to get Amanda into bed.
Protecting her means moving in, which exposes them both to a new danger—losing their hearts.
Books 5 and 7—A Legal Affair and Past Promises—will be released in a two-book anthology (Jamesville Affairs) early in 2010. Books 1-4 are available in print.
You can check out my Jamesville books at http://samhainpublishing.com/authors/n-j-walters
N.J. has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.

Gifted Available in Print
Love the paranormal? GIFTED will give you a taste of both psychic phenonmenon and vampires. The two stories, Empath and Obey Me, are perfect reading as we head into October and the Halloween season.
“Empath” by Bonnie Dee: A gift or a curse? Jordan Langley’s every touch of other human beings transmits their deepest feelings to him. Detective Lauren Sadler blocks her emotions so she can do her job. When a murder case brings them together, will Lauren yield to the power of the most intimate exchange she’s ever known?
For nearly two years, Jordan has lived like a hermit, avoiding the world that affects him too deeply. He had spent his life dealing with his “gift” of empathy until a traumatic event drove him into seclusion. Now a friend needs his help to reach an autistic boy who has witnessed a murder.
Lauren Sadler, the detective on the case, believes in Jordan’s ability after seeing the results of his touch on the boy. She doesn’t count on how that touch will influence her. In the midst of the investigation, the couple shares a passionate night. But Lauren’s not ready to open up to deep intimacy when her trust in herself has been shattered.
Solving the murder and coming to terms with love will challenge them both, bringing each to a new awareness of what they have to offer each other and the world.
“Obey Me” by Paige Cuccaro: Sophie Merlo’s uncanny nose for news has led her into the path of a brutal serial killer. Now she’d be happy just to survive the week. Alex thinks he’s being set up in a string of murders, and he’s sure Sophie’s hiding something that could clear him.
Caught in the middle of a century-old feud between two rival vampires, there are only three things Sophie knows for sure: One of them is a killer. The other wants to take her to bed. If she can’t figure out who’s lying about what soon, her career hopes could vanish. Right along with her last drop of blood.

When the sun goes down, passion is unleashed
Primal Hunger, the first book in my brand new Pendragon Gargoyles series is now available and I couldn’t be more excited. One of the best things about writing paranormal romance is getting to play outside of box, and I definitely did that when I tossed together some sexy shifters, Fae and other power-hungry immortals with my twist on Arthurian Legend. I hope you find this new world as entertaining as I did while writing it. So how about an excerpt?
