I had no idea it was possible to have so many sexy scenes in one book and still have a plot – especially a good one – but Brenda Williamson has done exactly that! The characters are absolutely captivating, and I can tell you I blushed a few times while reading this one…This was an exciting, fun read, with several twists in the plot to excite the reader.

Wolverton Blood was an excellent read!! Timber is a strong, sexy woman who just wants to find somewhere to call home and be accepted for who she is…differences and all. Kane is all Alpha-male and he has a hard time dealing with the feelings that Timber inspires in him. I positively enjoyed watching these two circle each other and come to grips with their volatile relationship. Brenda Williamson knows how to write with incredible emotion and her love scenes are hot, hot and hot!! Wolverton Blood is definitely going on my keeper shelf!!

I found Kane to be overbearing in the beginning. Brash, crude and arrogant, it was fun watching him change as he falls for Timber. Timber was quite a determined young lady. Never having had a family, she was not going to let Kane or any other Wolverton deter her. The scenes between Kane and Timber were either steamy and hot or intense, deadly and hot, making Wolverton Blood one book you wanted to keep turning the pages to see what will happen next. With surprises and twists in the plot, Brenda Williamson will definitely keep your interest with Wolverton Blood.

...the ultimate shape-shifter story. It shows love developing in human form and growing with animal instinct. Greed can bring out many betrayals, but love can rebuild that trust. Wolverton Blood leaves this reader hoping for more stories from Kane and Timber’s offspring…

This hair raising good tale captured my attention from the first page. Timber’s shy vulnerability mixed with her street savvy behavior explodes off the pages, bringing to life a sassy confident woman. Kane’s rugged dominate attitude and blatant sex appeal left me drooling. Elements of danger and mystery enhance the plot and keep the reader gripping the edge of their seat until the very last page. Raw passion and intense desire is what Ms. Williamson gives the reader when Kane and Timber make love. Uncontrollable lust strikes the match for their white-hot passion but a foundation of trust keeps them together. The powerful emotions between this couple sent tingles down my spine. I would kill to spend the night in Kane’s bed, just one night.

WOLVERTON BLOOD by Brenda Williamson is so powerful and intriguing that she teases her readers. She keeps your eyes glued to the pages. Ms. Williamson makes everything flow in her storyline, and with her characters. This is one series I’m looking forward to reading, and I can’t wait for the second installment!...

...a compelling and page-turning shape-shifter novel. Kane and Timber have a forceful union marred in both blood, bad family history, and a strong lust for each other. It seems on first glance that Kane is something of a bigot, but as you get to know his character, you’ll realize that growing up in the environment he did, he’s actually managed to become his own man against the prejudices his family has formed. When he’s with Timber, his affection and genuine caring for her is honest, even if at times their words and caresses are more violent in nature. Timber is a survivor and has survived worse than the Wolvertons. She is a strong character whose only downfall is the love she feels for Kane. When the stakes are raised though, Timber is the kind of woman who comes through. She’s not a baby or a whiner. She’s a woman who has been through a lot of crap in her life and can get past it to become stronger. If those aren’t the makings for a special character, I don’t know what is. All in all, Wolverton Blood is a great combination of shape-shifter violence, lust, love and mystery. Ms. Williamson has certainly gained this reader’s attention.

Williamson has done an excellent job creating her characters and developing her story, which is ultimately about finding a home and love. The action begins immediately and never stops…plenty of sexual elements…essential to the romance.
