Anne Scott was not a particularly early reader, but she was enthusiastic. After discovering Enid Blyton, she went on to love such series as Anne of Green Gables, Little Women and The Black Stallion, not necessarily in that order. In her teens and twenties she read a lot of CanLit, classics and mainstream lit, until she rediscovered genre—science fiction, fantasy and romance—and didn’t look back. Though she still reads the occasional mainstream novel.

A number of years ago, Anne realized that not only did she love reading, she also loved getting into the nitty gritty of editing. In 2006, Samhain Publishing hired her on and she has been loving her job ever since.

When Anne isn’t editing, she tries to get away from her computer and out of doors: skiing, biking, hiking and swimming. She lives in southern Ontario and loves the change of seasons.

Some of her favorite novelists include Patricia Briggs, Laura Kinsale and Megan Whelan Turner. She has edited such authors as Cathryn Fox, Mary Wine, Emily Veinglory, Linda Winfree and Moira Rogers.
